Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions we get asked the most!

Feel free to write in via the enquiry box below if you have any other questions or concerns, and our team will get back to you shortly.

In-Home Therapy:

Q: Where are therapy sessions conducted? A: For our In-Home service, it is conducted in the client’s home. We also have an online option, which will take place virtually.

Q: How will your programme benefit our child? A: Every child develops at their own pace, so every programme we design is entirely personalised. We intentionally weave your child’s unique strengths into our play-based framework to nurture growth in areas that need a little extra care. Rather than a generic outline, I would love to give you a detailed, personal look at how we can support your child during our complimentary introductory call, once we’ve had the chance to learn more about your family.

Q: How long does a standard therapy session last? A: Sessions usually last up to 2h, usually at a weekly frequency.

Q: What does a typical session look like? A: Every session is tailored to the specific child, as our focus is always on connection over compliance. We do not use drills or force rigid tasks; instead, we follow their lead and join in activities they enjoy to build a foundation of trust, regulation, and mutual interaction. This can be done through play-based interaction, child-led learning or stepping out into the community together to navigate everyday environments.

Q: Is there a minimum contractual period? A: Yes, there is a minimum commitment period of 90 days. Relationship-based frameworks like DIRFloortime® and The Son-Rise Program® rely heavily on consistency to be effective. An initial 90-day period allows us to establish a strong bond of trust with your child, integrate strategies into your home environment, and begin tracking long-term developmental progress.

Video Consultations:

Q: What time zones do you cater to? A: We are based in Singapore, but we have worked with families across the Asia-Pacific region.

Q: Is there a minimum contractual period? A: For video calls, there is no minimum contractual period however parents are required to submit videos every 2 -3 weeks.

Q: How can therapy work effectively over a video call? A: We follow a parent-coaching model. The child doesn't need to stare at a screen; instead, we provide real-time coaching, observations, and feedback to you as you engage with your child.

Social Facilitators Programme:

Q: What can I look forward to learning? A: Regulation-informed social facilitation for autistic teens and adults who need supported real-world connection. R.E.A.L. Social Facilitation Framework R — Regulation first Is the client ready to engage? E — Engagement through relationship What creates connection? A — Adaptive communication support What level of prompting or scaffolding is needed? L — Life-based social participation How does this translate into real-world confidence?

Q: Where is the programme usually held? A: Usually we would start a home, in a less distracting environment for both facilitators and children to bond and strengthen connection. As the facilitator and child gets familiar, sessions will be integrated outdoors e.g. cafes, libraries, events, malls, interest-based outings so that our clients get to participation in real life and at the same time have a social communication partner.

Q: Who is this programme for? A: All are welcome! Our past participants included parents, volunteers, educators, support staff, and students.

Complimentary Consultation:

Q: What will happen during the 45-minutes? A: We will discuss your child’s current developmental milestones, explore how our services can fit into your family's life (whether online or in-person), and decide together if my practice aligns with your family’s values and needs.

Q: How do I sign up? A: Please sign up through the form here (link page) and select ‘Complimentary Consultation (45 mins)’ under ‘Enquiry Type’
